|Spider Snake Cupcakes Recipe
1 box of yellow cake mix
12 pieces of black licorice
1 can of vanilla frosting
Orange food coloring
3 cups of M&M’s candies
2 mini snickers bars
You will need:
2 12-cup cake pans
24 paper cupcake liners
1 heavy tray
Preheat over 350 degrees. Place the cupcake liners into the pan.
Make the cake according to the directions on the box.
Divide the cake among the cupcake pan.
Bake according to the directions on the box.
While the cupcakes are cooking, cut the licorice into even 2-inch pieces.
Place the vanilla frosting in a bowl and add the orange food coloring so that the frosting is now orange.
Once the cake is done and cooled, frost the cupcakes evenly with the orange frosting.
Lace M&M’s around the cupcakes. Take the licorice and place one on each side of the cupcake to make spider legs. Now take two of the cupcakes, one for each of the head of the spider snake.
Cut one of the snicker bars in half and place on the lead cupcake for the eyes. Then place one M&M on each half of the snicker bar.
Line 12 cupcakes per snake on the tray. Do the same with the other 12 cupcakes so you end up with two spider snakes.
