Interviewer: Ron, Tell us how long Red Oak Apartment Homes has been doing business in NH?
Ron: We started in 1984 with a 3 family house in Hudson, NH. Over the years we have expanded into 8 NH towns and cities and offer over 1200 apartments.
I: What makes your company unique?
R: We have an apartment home for everyone and every lifestyle. We have quiet country settings, urban locations, affordable to luxury styles and everything in between.
I: What are some of the services that you offer to residents?
R: First, let me say that our residents are very important to us. We want to make them happy and make life easy for them every day. Some of the ways we do this is to have 3 leasing offices. Two of them are open 7 days a week with Wednesday evening hours as well. We also have a new, easy to use website. It conforms to your mobile device to make contacting us easy no matter where you are. A third point is our expert maintenance team. We have skilled technicians with knowledge of plumbing, heating, electrical and carpentry skills. They are on call for emergencies 24 hours a day/7days a week. We also have lots of choices for our customers. This includes a variety of locations, prices and apt styles.
I: What are some things a resident can do on the Red Oak Website?
R: Our website is http://www.redoaproperties.com There are several things a resident or a prospective resident can do there. A prospective resident can view all our property locations and see an updated availability list. Our current residents can submit work orders, ask us a question, refer a friend for an apartment or pay their rent on-line. They can read our blog and connect with us on our social media networks.
I: What’s new at Red Oak?
R: We are very proud of our newest properties at Milford Trails and Eastern Trails in Milford, NH. We purchased these properties about 18 month ago and have made a very large investment in improving the buildings, amenities and grounds.

It’s that time of year! We are all thinking about getting outside and enjoying the warm weather.
One of my favorite things is grilling dinner outside on the grill. Always put safety first whenever you are going to cook outside.
Here are some important things for our residents to remember when grilling at their apartment.
First, no grills, cookers or fryers are allowed on any decks, balconies or patios at any Red Oak Properties.
You may grill as long as you are at least 15 feet away from your building, except at properties like Sunset Ridge and Milford Trails that have designated grilling areas.

Ask an Expert: Apartment Living tips for Dog Owners!

Your dog is part of your family and you want to make sure your apartment is going to be a good fit for him. Here are a few things to think about when living with your dog in an apartment.
If you live in an apartment that has a city setting you will want to socialize your pup for the sights and sounds of the city. Take him to busy street corners and to common areas in your building so that he can learn about these spots slowly. If your building has elevators take him in and out during slow times of the day to get him used to it. This will show him that elevators are all normal parts of life.
A pet friendly property will have other pet owners living there. Dog owners always seem to find each other so get ready to introduce yourself. You can form a group of owners who like to go on outings with their dogs. They will be a great resource to you with knowledge about local parks, veterinarians or pet sitters they trust. Your dog will stay mentally sharp with all this interaction with other dogs. Introducing new toys to your dog also keeps them alert. If your dog loves to sniff everything in sight, leave some new scents on items in your apartment such as lavender on his bed or a clean cloth that has been rubbed on a neighbor’s pet.
While small dogs are believed to be better suited to city living, big dogs can be calmer indoors. The key is to exercise all size dogs. Keep your pup on a leash at all times to keep him safe.

We accept dogs that are less than 25 pounds at our Sunset Ridge location in Manchester and dogs that are up to 100 pounds at our Milford Trails and Eastern Trails locations in Milford. We do have a pet fee and regulations about certain breed restrictions. Both of these properties have great areas for walking your dog and meeting other dog owners.
